The Taste of Country  Nights Hometown Risers Competition is underway, and we have a local representative that needs your votes! You may recall when we had our WKDQ Hometown Risers competition at Kevin's Backstage Bar and Grill last December, well Kenna Elpers came out as the winner. Since then, there have been similar competitions all over the country, all leading up to one big competition! These winners are now competing against each other in the Taste of Country Nights Hometown Riser contest.

Kenna Elpers is a young aspiring country artist from the Tri-State. At only 15 years old, she is on her way to living her dream! She is going up against other aspiring country artists from around the country to be named the first Taste of Country Hometown Riser. It's now time for the Tri-State to rally together to help Kenna win this competition!

Voting is super easy! All you have to do is visit the contest page here and then vote for Kenna Elpers. You can even click on her picture to hear some more of her original music. No need to just vote once, do it once every day until the competition ends at 11:59PM ET on June 18, 2018. The winner of the Hometown Riser competition will receive airtime on the nationally-syndicated Taste of Country Nights radio show and a featured interview on Taste of Country. From there? Well, as stars like Brett Young and Devin Dawson have learned, we never forget about our Taste of Country RISERS.
