Tri-State Mother Asks For Roadside Memorial To Be Returned
A Tri-State family is asking for something that holds a very special meaning to them to be returned.
Skylar Robinson passed away at age 15 in December of 2016 as a result of a car accident on just past Stevenson Staion Road on Highway 62 in Warrick County. Her friends and family placed this cross at the crash site to honor her memory.
Now, the cross has gone missing. Skylar's mother, Elizabeth Robinson, and several others have searched the area for the cross, but it is nowhere to be found. This is a fairly large cross standing at 5 feet tall. I pass it everyday on my way to work, it's hard not to spot.
Elizabeth explained
"This cross means much more to me than it ever could anyone else. It serves as a symbol...a reminder that Skylar's life means something. It was placed at the exact location where my daughter took her last breath. This has significant emotional value to me and having it taken has been an emotional blow... like ripping a scab off an injury that will never truly heal."
She asks that if anyone has any information on the whereabouts of the cross, to contact her or to simply return Skylar's cross where it belongs with no questions asked.
