Traffic Light Camera Scam Could Cost You – What Camera?

We have all seen the little cameras on top of traffic signal arms and they can be somewhat annoying. It is possible to escape a fine because the camera failed to catch you, but if you are caught, you will probably pay the fine without even thinking about it. That is exactly what scammers are hoping for and they are counting on you to be lazy and not do a little fact checking. The new scam involves low-lifes calling random phone numbers and if you answer, telling you that you have an outstanding traffic light camera fine. They go on to tell you that if you don't pay right then and there, you could be looking at higher fines and possibly, jail. The problem is, there was no camera, no photo and no outstanding fine.
