#ThrowBackThursday Melissa’s Glowing Prom Dress [PICTURE]
So today is Thursday, and what better way to celebrate than with a #ThrowbackThursday picture!
There's a little shop in Owensboro called Elizabeth's and they are a bridal and prom store. They unfortunately are closing their doors, which makes me totally bummed, they were the cutest store, in this really cool old looking home. I went there and tried on wedding dresses when I was on the search for the perfect dress, because I had gotten my prom dress there my senior year of high school. I remembered that they were family owned, and they made me feel so special when I was looking for my perfect prom dress! While I did find some absolutely stunning gowns there when wedding dress shopping, it was my first stop so I wasn't quite ready to say "yes" just then, I didn't end up buying my wedding dress there, I will always have fond memories of trying on prom dresses there, and then trying on wedding dresses 7 years later! They're currently having a super crazy closeout sale FYI so if you've got a wedding coming up, I'd check them out!
But it got me thinking about my old prom dress, and while I still think it's gorgeous, it's crazy how much times have changed, and how much prom style has changed in the last few years.
I love looking back on people's past prom dress pics (especially ones from the 90s haha!) so share your #TBT prom edition photo with me! I'd love to see your dress!
Mine was this cool coppery color, with a burgandy sheen whenever the light hit it.
