Reports have found the most underrated city in Indiana. Let's see if you agree.

There are a lot of small towns outside of the bigger cities in Indiana worth visiting. As a lifelong Hoosier, I have been all over the state and have seen a lot of pretty cool towns. However, there are still several that I have only ever heard about that I need to add to the list of places to visit. Recently, I saw an article that listed the most underrated city in each state. This isn't the first time that I saw an article on this topic. Last year, I saw a similar article about the most underrated town in each state. As you know, there's a bit of a difference between a city and a town. So, in regards to the article last year, it found that Chesterton was the most underrated town in Indiana. That being said, which city is the most underrated in Indiana?

The Most Underrated City in Indiana is...

According to Love Exploring, the most underrated city in Indiana is Fort Wayne. What makes Fort Wayne underrated? It's the second biggest city in the state, but I feel like at least most folks here in Southern Indiana rarely think about Fort Wayne when making plans. Here's what Love Exploring said:

The second largest city in Indiana, Fort Wayne is a superb family vacation destination. Fort Wayne Children's Zoo has more than 1,000 animals and offers little ones a chance to hand-feed various animals, like giraffes, while a decommissioned power plant has been turned into Science Central – a hands-on discovery center for science, math, and technology. The beautiful Foellinger-Freimann Botanical Conservatory is great for casual strolls or, if you fancy a longer trek, head to the nearby Fox Island County Park, which offers swimming and fishing as well as designated picnic and grill areas.

While many might disagree that Fort Wayne is underrated and that another Indiana city should get the spotlight, I think we all can agree that Indiana is underrated as a whole. I don't know how many times I have heard people say that there's nothing to do here. However, there's quite a lot to do in Indiana. Sure, you might not have the beach or extravagant scenery/events all of the time, but Indiana has a little bit of something to offer to everyone...you just have to know where to find it.

30 Bizarre (and Real) Indiana High School Mascots

According to High School.com, there are 682 high schools in Indiana. 555 of those are public schools, while the remaining 127 are private. A majority of those schools have chosen typical mascots to represent them, like eagles, tigers, lions, jets, patriots, and so on and so forth. But, these 30 schools decided to go, well, a different direction.
