We're getting into Springtime which means baby bunnies are going to be everywhere, so be sure to look out for them when you go to mow your lawn and let the dogs out so you can keep them safe.  But one place you don't usually see a lot of baby bunnies is the middle of downtown Evansville, so when one was found today at the station we knew that was a little odd especially because where we're located is pretty much streets and sidewalks all around.

Mary the girl who works our front desk said someone had come by to pick up a prize, and when they came in they said that there was a baby bunny outside on the sidewalk.  So Mary went to investigate and sure enough there was a teeny bunny outside curled in a ball up against the wall of our building.  We aren't sure how he got here or where the rest of his family is, there's a lot of construction near here so no telling.

Mary went and grabbed a box, and got the little guy in the box and put a t-shirt in there so he could curl up, and got him some water.  He was so teeny!! Lori is another coworker of ours, and she did some searching, and she found a lady in town who rehabilitates rabbits, so she said she would take him in and rehabilitate him until he is ready to return to the wild, where she will release him in a safe area. So now our little friend is on the way to a specialist, and no longer here, but I am glad I got to meet him! I'm also glad I have such awesome coworkers who jumped to action to make sure he was safe, you guys rock!

For his couple hours we spent here Mary had named him "Townie"  for Townsquare Media, so you go little Townie! I said he was probably just the WKDQ rabbit coming back to haunt us ;)

Also we had a photo shoot before he left so we could always remember little Townie!
