Take A Moonlight Canoe/Kayak Trip In Nearby Kentucky

For those of you who enjoy canoeing and kayaking, this is a trip that you are going to want to be a part of. 

I love taking my kayak out on the lake and soaking in nature. It's one of my favorite things to do in the summer. I often thought about how peaceful (and fun) it would be to kayak at night.

Pennyrile Forest State Resort Park in Dawson Springs, Kentucky will be hosting three moonlight canoe and kayak trips this year. This is the only time that they allow canoeing and kayaking at night. These moonlight outings will be held on June 15, July 13, and August 17th.

These trips will have you out on the water for about 2 hours. Accroding to Pennyrile Forest State Resort Park , you will want to bring water, bug spray, and a flashlight. If you have a canoe or kayak, you are welcome to bring it, but they will have some on site. Cost is $25 per canoe/kayak or only $10 when you bring your own. Participants must be 10+ years. Must register 1 week before the canoe trip. Groups may schedule their own personal trip on other dates close to the full moon.
