Josh Thompson will be performing Saturday night at Ellis Park for WKDQ's 'Taste of Country' concert starring Josh Turner. Thompson has come a long way over the last couple of years to become one of the fastest rising stars in country music.

When we say that the first ever Taste of Country concert this Saturday is going to be amazing, we're not just joshin'.  Look at the two top acts on the bill, Josh Turner and Josh Thompson.  Those country hit-makers will be bringing their shows to the stage at Ellis Park and I'm sure you'll find their styles very different.

It was announced last week that American Idol Season 9 finalist, Casey James would be added to the lineup at Taste of Country, September 10th at Ellis Park.  Now, Casey has released his first country single, and that is your song to vote on for today's New Music Monday.

It has been almost two weeks since the deadly stage collapse at the Indiana State Fair just prior to the start of the Sugarland concert on August 13th. There are still more questions than answers about how a huge gust of wind took out the stage, causing it to collapse onto the crowd in front of the stage killing 5 at the time and injuring numerous others.

When we found out that Steve Azar wouldn't be able to play at our Taste of Country Concert, September 10th, we looked for a replacement that would rock the house, and we have found just that person.  Casey James, who made it all the way to the final three of American Idol, season nine will bring his bluesey-country sound to the stage at Ellis Park.

Sugarland returned to the stage on Thursday night in Albuquerque, New Mexico and began their show by asking the crowd to join them in a moment of silence to remember those who were lost and injured in last week's stage collapse at the Indiana State Fair...

Marshall Grant, the last original member of Johnny Cash's band has died at the age of 83. Grant died last weekend after suffering a brain aneurysm and is pictured above on the right. Cash's band was known as the 'Tennessee Two" and Grant was a very important part of what would become Cash's signature sound on the bass and also served as the road manager from 1954-1980...
