The Evansville Police Department released a statement through their Facebook page on Wednesday stating they've received numerous calls from residents that have been the targeted by someone claiming to be with the IRS.
Wow - a couple of days ago, I posted a blog about the IRS looking at your Facebook page to see if you are cheating on your taxes. Now, we found out that they can go into your e-mail accounts and read your e-mails if they want to...pretty scary huh? The good news is that this is only a possibility if some sort of red flag appears on your tax return, but they can look regardless.
If you want to get a good glimpse into someone's life, check their Facebook page. There are more people looking at your Facebook than you might think, and I'm not talking about your friends and family. I'm talking about employers, schools and now the IRS will be looking at Facebook and Twitter to see if you are cheating on your taxes.
