Dirty Soda has become quite the cultural phenomenon recently. It really became big in Utah and has eventually spread across the country. I'll be honest, I didn't even know what dirty soda even was until I was "forced" to watch "The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives" with my wife and teenage daughter. The ladies on there were always drinking dirty sodas, so I had my wife and daughter fill me in on what dirty soda is. That was about the only good thing about that show to me. The drama is too much, but that dirty soda sounds pretty darn good!

What is Dirty Soda?

Essentially, dirty soda is your typical fountain soda, but with added ingredients such as heavy creams, flavored syrups, candy pieces, or fruit juices. Really, the options are endless when it comes to how you want to create your own dirty soda. There's actually a chain out there known as Swig that specializes in dirty sodas. For all of you "Secret Lives of Mormon Wives" fans like my wife and daughter, we have good news to share. Swig is making its way to Evansville, Indiana.

Swig is Coming to Evansville, Indiana, in 2026

According to our friends at Evansville 411 News, Swig is officially coming to Evansville next year. The chain currently has several locations in Indiana, but this will be the first one in the Tri-State area. Aside from the dirty soda options, the beverage shop menu includes seasonal favorites, sodas, revivers, refreshers, pretzel bites, sweet treats, hot chocolate, and create your own options.

According to the post from Evansville 411 News, one of Swig's franchise owners announced on TikTok this week that they have signed a lease for a Swig location in Evansville that will be located in the new retail center at the intersection of North Green River Road and Morgan Avenue, next to Evansville Harley Davidson. In the comments of the franchise owner's TikTok, he states that the location will open in the spring of 2026.
