The series finale of Stranger Things will be airing at movie theaters across the country. Here are the Indiana movie theaters that will be playing the epic conclusion.

The Netflix series, Stranger Things, has been captivating audiences since 2016. The fifth and final season of the show is set to come out this year in three parts. Volume 1 (4 episodes) was released on November 27, 2025. If you haven't finished it by now, don't worry, I won't give you any spoilers. However, I will say that the show certainly left you wanting more with that last episode. My family and I watched volume one in a day, and we were bummed that we had to wait nearly a month to see more. Although a month isn't nearly as bad as waiting two years, as we did between season four and season five. In any event, volume 2 (3 episodes)will be released on  December 26, 2025, and the final episode will come out on December 31, 2025. I, for one, can not wait to see how this story ends!

Stranger Things: Coming to a Theater Near You?

Netflix is doing something very different with the final episode of Stranger Things. The streaming giant announced that the final episode will be playing in theaters at 7 pm CST on December 31, the exact same time it hits the streaming platform. That means that fans of the show will be able to experience the finale on the big screen for the first time ever.. The screenings will take place in over 500 theaters in the U.S. and Canada starting on December 31, 2025, at 7 pm CST, and run through January 1, 2026.

Netflix has also recently confirmed the run time of the Stranger Things season five finale: 2 hours and 5 minutes. That's long enough to be a movie, so seeing it in theaters only makes sense. So, which theaters will be showing the Stranger Things season five finale? Let's find out!

Indiana Theaters Showing Stranger Things Fanale

There's a whole website called Stranger Things Five The Finale, and it has a feature that will show you which theaters across the U.S. and Canada will be having screenings of the final episode. I did a search for Indiana, and I was kind of bummed to find out that my city of Evansville, will not have the finale playing in our movie theaters. However, there are still plenty of theaters across the state showing the finale. The website says that the following movie theaters will have screenings:

  • AMC Traders Point 12 in Indianapolis
  • AMC Castleton Square 14 in Indianapolis
  • AMC Indianapolis 17 in Indianapolis
  • AMC Perry Crossing 18 in Plainfield
  • AMC CLASSIC Jefferson Point 18 in Fort Wayne
  • Cinemark South Bend Movies 14 in Mishawaka
  • Emagine Portage in Portage
  • AMC Schereville 16 in Schereville

Those are the only theaters in Indiana showing the season five finale of Stranger Things, according to the official website. If there are others that will be showing the fanale, and aren't included on the list, I'd be curious to know where those Indiana theaters are. Advance movie theater ticket sales for the finale opened on December 2nd. So, I'd get yours while you can because you know that these screenings will sell out fast. LOOK: Here's Why Indiana is Pretty Much the Best Place on Earth [As Told by Hoosiers]

Reddit user, u/youcanneverbanme recently asked their fellow Hoosiers in the Indiana subreddit what they liked about living here. The question received hundreds of responses and the vast majority of them were positive. Of course, there were some that were negative because there are sad people who are perpetually angry on the internet and want everyone to know it for some reason, but we won't concern ourselves with those. We want to focus on the good, and when it comes to the good, there's plenty of it to enjoy.
