has just released it's list of the 'Top 10 Water Parks in the U.S." and Holiday World's Splashin' Safari comes in at number 1. Splashin' Safari beat out Typhoon Lagoon and Aquatica at Sea World's Waterpark in Orlando and parks in Texas which are much larger parks. The travel website gave the 27-acre water park in Santa Claus, Indiana high marks for what they called 'aquatic delights", namely the Wildebeest water coaster. Free soft drinks and sunscreen were also cited as reasons for this prestigious designation. Holiday World has long been known for the free drinks and sunscreen which is great for any budget conscious family. In a press release from Holiday World & Splashin' Safari, said, "this was the most clean and organized park we have ever been to." Holiday World president Dan Koch said, "it's humbling to be declared the best." Holiday World has received many prestigious designations over the years including 'The Voyage' roller coaster being ranked as the number 1 wooden roller coaster in the world and the Wildebeest being the number 1 ranked water coaster in the world.'s "Top 10 Water Parks" for 2011 are:
