The coronavirus pandemic has altered everyone's routine as states, including Indiana, have enacted stay-at-home orders to help "flatten the curve" and slow the spread of the virus. While that is obviously super-important to help bring this insanity to an end sooner rather than later, the lack of human interaction with people other than our family is starting to weigh on many. Thankfully we live in an age where technology helps soften that blow through video conferencing.

The Southwest Indiana Chamber of Commerce is using that technology tomorrow (Thursday, April 9th, 2020) to give business professionals, and really any resident who's interested, the chance to have that human interaction and network with people right here in the area who have similar interests.

The "Virtual Happy Hour" will get underway through Zoom at 4:30 p.m. Central tomorrow and is scheduled to last until 6:30. If you're interested in being a part of it, you need to register by noon tomorrow through the Chamber's website. After registering, you'll receive a link to the video conference in your e-mail. Then, it's just a matter of showing up and talking with old friends you haven't seen in awhile (or at least since the stay-at-home order was enacted), or meeting a few new friends. That's the whole point of networking anyway, right?

Organizers encourage you to bring along a beverage of your choice, and have even created a fun BINGO card you can download and play along with during the call.
