Six Flags Offering $300 To Those Able To Stay In A Coffin For 30 Straight Hours
I have seen and heard of a lot of odd contests, but this one just might be the creepiest one of them all. Six Flags St. Louis is celebrating 30 Years of Screams during their annual Fright Fest this year with the 30-Hour Coffin Challenge. So what is the 30-Hour Coffin Challenge? Basically, they will have you laying in a coffin for 30 hours straight for the chance to win $300!
Six Flags will select six people at random to spend 30 hours in a coffin, from 1:00 pm on Saturday, October 13 until 7:00 pm on Sunday October 14. This sounds like the perfect contest for those who need to catch up on their sleep. However, if you're claustrophobic, you probably want to pass.
Now you might be wondering how someone could lay in a coffin for 30 hours straight and not go to the bathroom? That was my first thought too. Have no fear though, Six Flags isn't that mean, they will have designated bathroom breaks. According to Six Flags St. Louis:
Coffin dwellers will be allowed to bring a friend along during Fright Fest operating hours, but they must brave the non-operating hours alone. Well, not exactly alone, some of our Fright Fest Freaks will be lurking about in the darkness. Anyone who gets out of their coffin for any reason, with the exception of the designated bathroom breaks, will be out of the contest.
Six Flags St. Louis has thought of just about everything with the 30-Hour Coffin Challenge. They will feed you breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks in "bed" or coffin. Not only that, but you will be able to bring your cell phone to keep you company. There will be phone charging stations for use within the coffin so you don't have to worry about a dead battery and no form of entertainment. You will, however, need to bring your own pillow and blanket to use inside of the coffin.
So what do you get if you make it the full 30 hours? The winner of the 30-Hour Coffin Challenge will receive $300, two 2019 Gold Season Passes, a Fright Fest Prize package including two VIP Haunted House passes, ticket for two to ride the Freak Train for Freaks Unleashed...oh and you get to keep your coffin. That should save you and your family some money down the road on funeral expenses, right?
Six Flags St. Louis is only a short drive away from the Tri-State, so do you think you have what it takes to win this challenge? If you do, or know someone who does, you can find out all of the contest information and even how to register to be a contestant below.
