The 10th annual Sandy Lee Watkins Songwriters Fest is coming up July 24th through 27th in downtown Henderson and will feature a number of songwriters from here in the Tri-State, as well as several from around the region, telling the stories behind some of the songs they've written for Country music's biggest artists. A few of those songwriters are also offering their time and expertise to help other aspiring songwriters and artists hone their own skills during a free Songwriters Workshop at Hometown Roots restaurant.

The workshop will give those looking for help in crafting songs the opportunity to perform their songs for the pros for a little constructive criticism, as well as pick their brains about anything and everything related to songwriting, whether that be writing lyrics, harmonies, or finding the right musical notes.

The workshop is free, but RSVP's are required by calling 270-860-2235 and asking for Shawn.
