On Saturday, November 5th, Junior Achievement of Henderson will present the very first Columbia Chilly Hilly 5K Race/Hike.  The event will take place on the trails inside Audubon State Park.  The trails are quite rugged, and the temperatures could be as well the first week of November, thus the run/hike will be both chilly and hilly.  One great perk of this event is that Columbia is providing a fleece jacket to the first 150 participants to go along with their race t-shirt.

All proceeds from the race will go to Junior Achievement programs in Henderson County.  Junior Achievement programs prepare local children for the world of work by teaching them about financial literacy, work readiness, responsibility, and reinforcing the values of staying in school.  This school year, JA will implement 70 programs in Henderson County and Holy Name schools reaching over 1,700 local 3rd, 6th, and 9th graders.
