WFIE is reporting that President Obama will be headed to the Tri-State this week for a visit.  The exact purpose or location is still unknown, but officials are saying that Air Force One is scheduled to land at Evansville Regional Airport on Friday.

WFIE reports that the President will be taken to Gibson County to visit with a local business.  EVV representative, Diana Page has made the following statement:

"Evansville Regional Airport has been contacted by the Air Force One pre planning group, however, at this point we do not know what time, day, or even if President Obama will be coming to Evansville.  I'm sure those details will be coming forth soon and we'll share those once available, but right now we just don't have that information."

The White House has issued this statement about President Obama's plans:

"The President will deliver remarks Thursday to Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management where he will deliver a forceful case for American strength and leadership at home. The President will highlight the progress we've made building a New Foundation for the American economy – recovering faster than almost any advanced nation – and underscore the steps we need to take to continue our progress and ensure that more middle-class families feel that progress in their own lives. The President will continue to discuss these urgent priorities in the days and weeks ahead. The President will travel to Millennium Steel in Princeton, Indiana on Friday as a part of Manufacturing Day to highlight this strategy."
