POLL: Who Should Win Vocal Duo of the Year at the 2016 ACM Awards?
Florida Georgia Line have dominated the ACM Awards' Vocal Duo of the Year category for the past two years ... but will they do it again in 2016?
The Brothers Osborne, comprised of brothers TJ and John Osborne, have had a great couple of years. They were nominated for Vocal Duo of the Year at the CMA Awards and received two ACM Awards nods and one Grammy Awards nomination. Fellow competitors Dan + Shay stole hearts with their 2014 No. 1 record Where It All Began and singles like "19 You + Me." This is their third nomination in the category.
FGL released their No. 1 sophomore album, Anything Goes, in October of 2014; it features the singles "Dirt," "Sun Daze," "Sippin' on Fire" and more. They won the most recent Vocal Duo of the Year trophy at the CMA Awards and are certainly a contender to win this one as well.
But, Joey + Rory are inspirational, to say the least: Their final studio album, Hymns That Are Important to Us, debuted atop Billboard's Top Country Albums and Top Christian Albums charts, giving the husband and wife their biggest record ever. They also received a Grammy Awardsd nod, and many fans are hopeful that their work will be rewarded with a trophy.
Maddie & Tae, meanwhile, are nominated for two ACM Awards this year. Their singles "Girl in a Country Song" and "Fly" have been certified platinum and gold, respectively, and their full-length studio record Start Here debuted at No. 2 on the Country Airplay chart.
