Buc-ee's Travel Center Plans New Clarksville, Tennessee Location

Buc-ee's is known for having the world's cleanest restrooms, and the beaver mascot known as Buc-ee. Soon, this destination travel center will only be a hop, skip, and jump from the Tri-State.

Well, I don't know about you but as soon as summer break began, my newsfeed has been filled with vacation photos from a gas station. Ok, not just any gas station, convenience store, or truck stop. Of course, I'm talking about Buc-ee's Travel Center.

Why are People Going Nuts about Buc-ee's?

Buc-ee's has been around since the early 80s, with travel centers starting in Texas and slowly moving into the Midwest. Their website boasts the World's Cleanest Restrooms, and unlike a typical truck stop, you won't find any semis parked overnight in any of their lots. You will find a ton of merch with Buc-ee's mug on it.

What is so awesome about Buc-ee's Travel Center?

And just to clear up any confusion, beaver nuggets are puffy yet crunchy corn nuggets with a brown sugar caramel coating. I thought they were chicken nuggets.

Buc-ee's Announces Plans for Clarksville, Tennessee Location

According to the Clarksville Montgomery County Regional Planning Commission, Tuesday's meeting will feature a zoning request for a Buc-ee's location off of I-24. If the plans go through this could be the world's largest convenience store! The proposal calls for around 77,000 square feet, and currently a Texas Buc-ee's location is the world's largest at 66,000 square feet.

There is no construction timeline set for the Clarksville, TN location, but the newest Buc-ee's opens Monday, June 26, 2023, near Knoxville, TN in Sevier County.
