Merle Haggard Has Passed Away

Legendary country music singer and songwriter Merle Haggard passed away in hospice care while battling pneumonia.  He turned 79 today.  

The country star has been battling some health issues for a while now.  He recently cancelled tour dates in December of 2015, while battling double pneumonia. He then cancelled the tour dates he had in January as well when his pneumonia returned.  Unfortunately in March he cancelled all of his April tour dates, and it was said he entered hospice care.  Today was his birthday, he turned 79.  Today he also passed away.

We are so sad to hear about this loss. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Merle Haggard's family and friends.
