If you can provide shelter, food, and water, adopting a barn cat could be the perfect solution for your property’s rodent control needs. The Daviess County Animal Shelter has many cats available, each deserving a second chance at a loving home. Bringing a barn cat into your family helps the cat and offers you a natural way to manage pests. Consider giving one of these resilient cats a chance to thrive in a safe environment!

Growing up in Northern Michigan on 100 acres, we welcomed many barn cats! We let them indoors from time to time to keep them semi-social and prevent them from becoming too feral. Even though they were primarily working cats, we always treated them like family. They brought so much joy and personality to our home. If you’re considering adopting, a barn cat can be a fantastic addition to your family!
