Here’s an Egg-cellent Way to Support Homeless Animals in Daviess County
This Easter-themed fundraiser takes the worry out of shopping and finding time to hide the eggs, and you support the Daviess County Animal Shelter. Alert your neighbors because shelter volunteers will be hiding eggs for Easter.
EGG MY YARD DAVIESS COUNTY ANIMAL SHELTER FUNDRAISER
Imagine waking up on Easter morning to participate in a fun-filled Easter egg hunt in your yard. You can support the Daviess County Animal Shelter. The funds raised from the event will help the shelter save homeless animals. Your support helps the team rescue animals and gives them much-needed care. So many wonderful staff members and volunteers do everything they can to save these precious souls. But, they can't do it alone. They need us, and they need fundraisers like this to accomplish their mission. Many animals come to the shelter in need of medical care. Some need to be transported to another rescue for their best chance at a new life. All of this takes money.
You can get 35 eggs filled with candy and treats for $25 with the proceeds going to the shelter. Volunteers will leave them on your porch if you'd rather hide them yourself. Call the shelter at 270-685-8275 or email them at dcacanimals@yahoo.com. Supplies are limited so order today! The deadline to order is Friday, March 31st, 2023. Yards must be in Daviess County, Kentucky.
"This year is a little different. The eggs are purchased in sets of 35 and you can buy as many sets as you would like!"

HOW TO VOLUNTEER AT THE DAVIESS COUNTY ANIMAL SHELTER
Becoming a shelter volunteer is a great way to give back and help save lives. I saw this posted on their social media page and wanted to help get the word out.
Did you know there are only 2 or 3 consistent dog walkers during the week?
Also, did you know that we are housing 90 dogs?! We need more walkers!
Tour the shelter and get more information today.
The work done at the Daviess County Animal Shelter is inspirational. The shelter volunteers work so hard year-round because they know that it will help in the mission of saving the lives of more animals. It warms this animal lover's heart!
WAYS TO DONATE TO THE DAVIESS COUNTY ANIMAL SHELTER
Don't forget that the shelter always needs donations. Beyond monetary donations, you can always drop off dog or cat food. Cat litter, dog beds, food/water dishes, treats, along with towels and blankets. You can always reach out to the shelter to see what's needed the MOST at any given moment. You can mail a check directly to the shelter.
ADOPT A PET IN THE SHELTER
The Daviess County Animal Shelter receives thousands of animals annually. Some of them are returned to their owners, and some find new homes, but unfortunately, some are never placed in a home.
This is why it is so important that these animals find new homes. If you are interested in adopting a pet, stop by the shelter! They have cats and dogs of all ages, sizes, breeds, and colors.
All adoption fees include spaying or neutering your pet at a local veterinarian.
If you can't adopt and could foster, please contact the shelter. This will also save lives!
