Loretta Lynn celebrated her 85th birthday on Friday (April 14) with the first of two sold-out concerts at Nashville's famed Ryman Auditorium, and while the legend performed for her adoring fans, those fans serenaded the singer twice throughout Friday's show with "Happy Birthday."

One person in the crowd captured the sweet moment on video as Martina McBride graced the stage to bring Lynn a bouquet of yellow roses before the crowd erupted in a singalong. After Lynn's fans sang her "Happy Birthday," she lovingly referred to McBride "my closest friend in country music" before asking her to stay onstage to perform “You Ain’t Woman Enough (To Take My Man)” and "I Saw the Light."

Loretta Lynn Through the Years

Lynn released "You Ain't Woman Enough (To Take My Man)" in 1966 and it reached No. 2 on the country charts. McBride covered the hit as part of her covers album, Timeless, which was released in 2005. McBride later gushed about Friday's performance on her personal Instagram alongside a picture of she and Lynn singing together that night:

"Beyond honored to be asked to present @lorettalynnofficial with roses and lead the crowd in singing happy birthday to her," she writes. "THEN she asked me to sing something! We sang You Ain't Woman Enough and I Saw The Light. I absolutely and completely adore her. She is a trailblazer, original, one-of-a-kind living legend. And it blows me away that she calls me her friend. #soblessed"
