Local Girl’s Birthday Wish is To Help Local Animal Shelter!

Meet Katherine! She isn't your normal soon to be 8 year old!  She has a huge heart! Her best friend just so happens to be a 3-legged dog named Duke, and Duke helped inspire her HUGE birthday wish! But, for her birthday this year, she needs the community's help!

Duke came from Evansville Animal Care and Control, and on a recent visit there Katherine realized a lot of the dogs didn't have cots in their kennels, or toys, or soft toys and things to cuddle with! So Katherine decided to use her 8th birthday to make a difference! With the help of her parents, Katherine set up a GoFundMe account to raise money!

Katherine is a beautiful girl, both inside and out. She is turning 8 on 12/22, and has decided to have a fundraiser birthday party to benefit Evansville Animal Control. During a recent visit, she noticed that there were not enough cots for all the cages, and not all the animals had toys, or something soft to cuddle. She loves animals, and stated that she has enough toys, and didn't want any for her birthday. She is asking for cash to purchase pet food, litter, pet toys, blankets, treats, and pet cots(we already priced at Pet Food Center ranging from $20-$50 depending on size). She is really wanting to have a huge donation for Animal Control before Christmas. Please help her make this a reality. Every little bit will help her. She will also be monitoring this account, with parent supervision, and will be able to see all activity.

Katherine my dear, you have such a big heart! Don't ever lose that! My dog is also my best friend, and though I got her through a different rescue, she originally came through Animal Control, so I'm thankful to them for trying their best to save local animals, and to all the rescues that work hard to save as many as possible. Best of luck Katherine, you are wise beyond your years! Oh and happy early birthday!!!
