My eyes have always been healthy. As a child and young adult, I never had to wear glasses because my eyes were always 20/20. I can remember, before I had to get my prescription glasses, if I would spend a lot of time looking at my phone, my eyes would get blurry. Now, I wear bifocals because I can't read without glasses, but I still get that blurred vision feeling when I look at my phone for too long.

I know the same thing is happening to my kids, who look at their phones ALL day. I'm worried. I feel like their eyes will age even quicker than mine did. Will they?

Ok, so yes, I should be worried and so should you. Although, we won't really know the long-term negative effects, if any, of excessive screen time until our kids are adults, we can agree that too much of anything is bad. I have already voiced my concerns to my kids, but they think I'm just overreacting.

That goodness I have Dr, Russ at Ridgway Eyesore Center to talk some sense into them.

Here is a video that will help you relieve some of the eye strain for you and your kids. It's a 20-20-20 rule.

Contact Dr. Russ to schedule an eye exam today. Get a starting point for you and your kids to see where you are in terms of eye strain. And, if necessary, get the treatment you need to have healthy eyes for years to come.
