The Most Scenic Drive in Kentucky

If you want to soak up some of the most stunning natural wonders in Kentucky, then the Red River Gorge Scenic Byway is just the drive for you.  This drive is only about 46 miles in length so it will only take you about an hour to complete, however, we recommend taking your time and truly enjoying the journey.

Along the Red River Gorge Scenic Byway, you'll wind through some of the most gorgeous natural wonders Kentucky has to offer.  The byway will also wind you through the legendary Nada Tunnel, which is a 900-foot single lane tunnel that is known as the "Gateway to the Red River Gorge."   

The scenic byway will also take to to many overlooks, and trails that will take you to stunning stone arches, waterfalls, and more.

Attractions on the byway include the Gladie Visitor Center, Nada Tunnel, and views of stone arches or unique rock formations. Portions of the byway also parallel the Red River, a designated wild and scenic river. Step into the gorge and experience the natural beauty by exploring one of the many overlooks and trails which lead to stone arches and waterfalls or take you below the cliffline deep into the gorge.
