My Old Kentucky Dinner Train

How have I lived this close to Kentucky my whole life and never knew that there was a dinner train in Kentucky?  This dinner train isn't too far from the Tri-State either as it's located in Bardstown, Kentucky.

Dinner Excursions

Now this sounds like the most epic date night adventure, the dinner train regularly hosts dinner excursions that take about two and a half hours, and with your ticket, you get to enjoy a four-course meal.

While My Old Kentucky Dinner Train’s patrons travel across the beautiful natural scenery and historical sites during the two and a half hour excursion, they are invited to embark on a culinary journey equally remarkable. The delicious prix fixe meal is prepared fresh while en route by our culinary team and served throughout the evening alongside refreshments and specialty cocktails. The traditional tables of four are perfect for conversation yet cozy enough for privacy. All that’s left is to sit back, relax, and enjoy the wonderful moments with those around you.

The menu is seasonally rotated, so I had to have a look at it, and my goodness it sounds delicious.  The current dinner menu includes prime rib, balsamic glazed chicken, and mahi mahi.

More Than Dinner Excursions

Along with dinner excursions My Old Kentucky Dinner Train also offers lunch excursions regularly, and even themed excursions.  Throughout the Christmas season they offer a Christmas themed train ride, murder mystery train ride, and even a train ride celebrating bourbon.
