Kane Brown has seen crossovers work tremendously well for his peers Florida Georgia Line and Maren Morris, and now it's his turn.

According to an initial report in VarietyBrown has teamed with pop singer Camila Cabello for a newly-produced, remixed version of her hit "Never Be the Same," expected Friday (April 27). Both Brown and Cabello confirmed the news during a set of afternoon tweets on Thursday afternoon:

6 Forgettable Country Crossovers

Cabello says "Never Be the Same" has felt country from the get-go, and she knew Brown was the right artist to sing it. What's not officially known is if it will be released to the pop or the country radio stations, or perhaps both? Brown will have his fans' support either way — they can't get enough of him and the unique path he's taken to country stardom.

“I attribute my success to my fans for helping me get to where I am today,” Brown tells Taste of Country during a recent interview. "Music has been a huge part of my life and I feel like it’s a part of everyone's. I love to sing and never thought I’d be able to do it and it happened for me."

Brown is on fire at the moment. Not only does he have a hit on his hands with his solo singe, "Heaven" and he still has fans reeling over his ACM Awards collaboration with Lauren Alaina for "What Ifs," but he goes into the month of May with three Billboard Music Awards nominations.
