I am a huge Lord of the Rings fan. You know those comfort movies that you can watch over and over again and never get tired of? That trilogy and the Hobbit movies are those for me. I even love all of the behind-the-scenes and special features where you can learn about how they made the awesome sets and costumes.

I especially love how Hobbiton was designed and brought to life. Originally described in J.R.R. Tolkien's books, it was a village where tiny wholesome people lived.  The homes, also tiny, were built into the ground with lots of green and growing things all around. plants, crops, flowers. Of course, they have their signature circle doors and windows.

Mountain Shire Tennessee Tiny Hobbit Homes

You can visit the real Hobbiton in New Zealand, but if you don't want to have to travel that far and you want to actually be able to STAY in a little hobbit hole, you can just road trip it to Sevierville, Tennessee. Mountain Shire is only a few miles from Pigeon Forge and close to all of the fun attractions in Gatlinburg and the Smoky Mountains. This video looks so cool!

Six different tiny homes each about 200 sq. ft are complete with "high-speed internet, a loft with a queen-sized bed, a living room with a large sofa-bed and Roku TV, a well-stocked kitchenette, and a bathroom with a shower. The outdoor amenities include a fire pit (that looks like the one ring! How neat!), lounge chairs, and a picnic table with scenic views of the surrounding valley area."
