Muppet Babies at McDonald’s: Did You Have the Whole Set?
If you are my friend, you know I am a HUGE Muppets fan. The whole crew helped me embrace what made me unique, but most of all, Miss Piggy was a formative role model growing up. Now, this may make you scared for my husband. However, I promise I only picked up on Piggy's lovey-dovey nature with regard to Kermie.
The "Hi-YA!" kick-you-where-the-sun-don't-shine side doesn't come out very often and is only reserved for people who try to mess with me and mines. I have her cute face on my Caboodle, I have a Miss Piggy shirt, and I even have a vintage Miss Piggy paper doll with different outfits and wigs.
She is in my office at the station if you ever want to come play! We can also admire my most recent birthday gift from my friends Ron and Eric. We can't play with her because I'm going to keep her in the plastic for now so she stays safe and blemish-free. Here is what she looks like without it, thanks to a listing I found on eBay:

Do you remember her? Baby Miss Piggy, along with Baby Kermit and Baby Fozzie, were sold at McDonald's in the late 80s. Maybe this throwback commercial will jog your memory.
Instant nostalgia! The Holiday Huggables Muppet Babies were sold on average for $1.99 with the purchase of a Happy Meal. Proceeds benefited Ronald McDonald Children's Charities. I saw an Instagram post that said over 40 million plushies were ordered for this promotion! I don't know how many were actually sold, though.

All I know is that I had them and loved them. They could even be squirreled away in my mom's attic somewhere, but now I have one in pristine collector's condition thanks to my awesome friends who know me so well!
Once I get my Christmas decorations out, I will decide what to do with my Baby Piggy. I feel like she needs a special spot for the holidays. Maybe the star at the top of our tree! That would be perfect for her diva status. Do you remember these sweet and festive Muppet Babies? Do you still have yours?
