Applications Open for Newburgh Holiday Light Parade

It may be the middle of summer, but organizers in Newburgh are already looking ahead to one of the town's brightest holiday traditions.

Historic Newburgh, Inc. is now accepting entries for its 4th Annual Newburgh Holiday Light Parade, giving local businesses, organizations, clubs, schools, and community groups plenty of time to start planning their festive displays.

Save the Date

This year's Holiday Light Parade will take place on Sunday, December 6, with the parade stepping off at 5 p.m.

The route begins near Titzer Family Funeral Home, travels east on Jennings Street, and then turns north onto State Street through downtown Newburgh, where spectators will line the streets to enjoy the holiday celebration.

Bring the Holiday Sparkle

One thing organizers ask of every participant is simple: bring the lights.

All parade entries are encouraged to be illuminated as much as possible to help transform downtown Newburgh into a dazzling holiday display.

Whether it's a decorated float, vehicle, golf cart, trailer, or another creative entry, the more lights, the better.

The Holiday Light Parade has quickly become a favorite seasonal tradition since it debuted just a few years ago.
