It’s Free To See….in Washington, D.C.

Sometimes, the best things in life are free!  My trip to Washington D.C. last year was so amazing that my husband and I would like to go back to check out all of the other museums that we didn’t get a chance to visit. The best part- most Smithsonian museums and the National Zoo are free and open every day of the year except December 25. On the National Mall we visited, among others, the Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History. Check out this display of Gold!

I can’t tell you how long we stayed in this museum, but, it had so many fascinating displays to see. In this building, we saw the dinosaur display, the African elephant, The Sant Ocean Hall, fossil lab, all the beautiful gems including the Hope Diamond, minerals and more.
