I've talked about how much I love the Indiana Military Museum before, and it's definitely a place you should visit if you've never been. Soon, the museum will host their biggest event, which is one big salute to the brave individuals who fought in the Second World War. I've been to this event before and can certainly tell you it's a great place to learn about World War II history and thank a local veteran.
The Indiana Military Museum is located at 715 S 6th St., in Vincennes, Indiana, and houses a collection of military weapons, uniforms, and vehicles dating all the way back to the Revolutionary War. On Saturday, August 31, 2024, and the following Sunday, September 1, the museum will welcome veterans and reenactors for a living history event the whole family will enjoy. Free parking will be available, and the event will run from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. (ET) both days.
Throughout the weekend, guests can walk through military encampments, shop items from military vendors, and even check out a battle reenactment both days. The reenactment is always very well done and showcases vintage vehicles, along with battle-ready reenactors. Those wishing to participate in the battles can register here.
