Indiana police were sent on a wild goose, uh, turkey chase, and the result is a hilariously viral moment.

Viral Indiana Moments

Indiana is no stranger to making headlines. Just a week ago, the Vanderburgh Humane Society in Evansville went mega-viral after a funny 20-second video got more than 7 million views on TikTok. Evansville also recently made TMZ after footage of bouncers from a local bar went viral. Well, the Hoosier State is now back on the national news scene after a viral video from Northern Indiana caught the attention of ABC News.

A Live Turkey Causes Chaos at a Grocery Store

Typically turkey that's inside of a grocery store is not living anymore, but that was not the case when the St. Joseph County Police were called to a popular Northern Indiana grocery store, Martin's.  The call reported a wild turkey had entered the store and was causing all kinds of issues inside the store.

Police quickly went into action and found the turkey. After a little bit of a wild goose, uh, we mean turkey, chase, the turkey was apprehended and relocated to a more suitable location.

The post from the St. Joseph County Police Department said:

Call of the Wild (Turkey): Anyone hear about a turkey causing chaos in Martin’s?
The good news, no harm, no fowl. The turkey was peacefully escorted off the premises and released completely unharmed.
Props to all responding officers—especially K9 Officer O’Konski, who’s now certified in poultry negotiations!
