One Indiana restaurant just received some very high honors as one of America's Most Unforgettable Restaurant Experiences. Do you think you know what it is?

Indiana has a lot of great restaurants that have been open for years. These restaurants have become staples in that area where people must go whenever they are in town. They are restaurants that can even become bucket-list places to dine at. Whether it be comfort food, burgers, fried chicken, seafood, Italian, Mexican, steakhouses, or any other type of restaurant, there are certain places that stand out among the rest.

Some of these restaurants are pretty famous too. As you know, there are a lot of famous restaurants throughout the country. No, I'm not talking about the big-name chain restaurants that everyone knows about because they're in practically every town. I am talking about restaurants that have become a must-visit place whenever you visit a city. Most of them are found in bigger cities like Chicago or New York, but there are a few scattered all across Indiana that have garnered quite a reputation over the years. One of those restaurants is actually among America's most memorable dining experiences.

Indiana Restaurant Among America's Most Unforgettable Restaurant Experiences

Love Food recently found the most unforgettable restaurant experiences in America based on genuine user reviews, awards, and accolades, and the first-hand experience of their team. As it turns out, one Indiana restaurant made the list. It may or may not come as a surprise to you that it is also the most famous restaurant in Indiana. I'm talking, of course, about St. Elmo Steakhouse in Indianapolis.

Here's what Love Food said about St. Elmo Steakhouse:

St Elmo's significant legacy helps make it one of the region's most memorable dining spots. Its history stretches right back to 1902, and locals and tourists alike still love the classic decor – think pressed tin ceilings, exposed brick, and dark wood – and the traditional menu. Dine on perfectly cooked steaks, chops, and chicken, or seafood from sesame chive-crusted tuna to lobster tail.

Now, I must admit that I have never been to St. Elmo Steakhouse, but I have heard nothing but good things about it. The steakhouse is one that I would love to visit the next time I visit. While I would love to enjoy that Tomahawk Rib-eye, I might venture for a cheaper option. Speaking of St. Elmo Steakhouse, they sell some of their seasoning, sauces, and liquor in stores all throughout Indiana. I've tried their Root Beer Gaze on pork chops and it is delicious!
