Sunday alcohol sales in Indiana has cleared a key committee for the first time.

According to AP, the measure passed this morning on a 9-0 vote by the Senate Public Policy Committee.

The new measure would allow stores that currently sell alcohol such as liquor stores, convenience stores, and grocery stores, to sell alcohol on Sunday from noon-8P.

There has been another measure to add cold beer sales at convenience and big box stores, however that measure is faces a much more uncertain fate, as liquor stores currently are the only ones allowed to sell cold beer, and they'd like to keep it that way.

As of right now, there are still more hoops to go through, but Indiana is now one step closer to allowing alcohol sales on Sunday.

What do you think?  Would you like to see Indiana alcohol sales on Sunday?
