Indiana Campground Among 10 Best in the Midwest
One Indiana campground just received some high honors, and it may not be the one that you're thinking of.
I grew up going camping here in Indiana. We had everything from a tent to a pop-up camper and a camper. Camping was always something that I enjoyed doing. Between hiking the trails, fishing, swimming, and food over a campfire, spending time at the campground was always a great experience. It's been quite some time since I have been camping, but it's something that my family and I plan on doing this year.
As you know, there are so many great campgrounds all throughout the Hoosier State. Each of them has its own unique things to offer. I've been to several campgrounds throughout the state. Some of which are more well-known than others; however, that doesn't mean that the ones you rarely or even never hear about aren't worth visiting. The Dyrt, the largest source of campground info in the country, recently shared its 2025 list of the ten best campgrounds in the Midwest. These rankings were based on real reviews from real campers. Among those ten campgrounds was one located in Indiana that might be less known to many.

Follow The River RV Resort: One of the Best Campgrounds in the Midwest
Located in Florence, Indiana, along the scenic Ohio River, you will find Follow The River RV Resort. This campground was named the 10th best campground in the Midwest. Considering how many campgrounds there are in the Midwest, that's a pretty high honor.
Here's what The Dyrt said makes this campground great:
Follow The River RV Resort has 160 spacious pull-through and back-in sites, all equipped with full hookups (20/30/50 amp), concrete pads, picnic tables and fire rings.
Campers can enjoy a variety of amenities, such as a saltwater swimming pool, playground, dog park and a jumping pillow for children. The resort also offers a catch-and-release fishing pond, horseshoe pits and a paved walking/biking trail.
The clubhouse serves as a hub for social activities and includes a mini arcade, free Wi-Fi, and a general store offering RV supplies, snacks, firewood and propane. Restrooms and showers are clean and well-maintained, contributing to the overall comfort of guests.
Follow The River RV Resort even has a few tiny homes that you can stay in on your visit. Take a look at one of them below:
