Illinois Teacher Loved for Her Kindness, Fun Experiments and Snack Game
One of my favorite parts about honoring our Teachers of the Week is the difference between nomination letters from parents and the ones from the kids.
Hundreds and hundreds, that's the number of reasons we read every week that families around the Stateline love their teachers. But, if I'm being honest, I love the reasons shared by the students quite a bit more.
97ZOK's Teacher of the Week
Today, we honor Mrs. Sarah Greenberg from Spring Creek Elementary School in Rockford. Mrs. Greenberg was nominated by Mckenzy Davis, one of her 5th graders, she writes:
We have 30 kids in our class, that's a lot! She is great at giving us all the attention we each need. Sometimes we make mistakes but she helps us understand. She is very kind. When our class gets too loud she knows just what to do to quiet us down. She does really fun things with us like playing Kahoots and cool science experiments. We did a gummy bear experiment that was one of my favorites.
Here comes my favorite part of Mckenzy's letter
She lets us have snacks so we don't get HANGRY.
In 5th grade the teachers are really competitive with each other and it is really funny to watch.
YES, IT IS, look at this picture of Mrs. Greenberg and her fellow 5th-grade competitors.
I think she deserves to be Teacher of the Week because she is all the things that make a great teacher.
We couldn't agree with you more, Mckenzy.
