Are you brave enough to face your fears and hunt down zombies at this haunted trail in Southern Indiana?

We've all seen movies and TV shows about a zombie apocalypse. One thing everyone thinks about while watching those is how they would fare if they were faced with zombies. Now, zombies aren't real...at least not that we know of. However, they do come to life at an Indiana haunted trail where you have the chance to hunt them down.

PsychoPath Haunted Attraction

PsychoPath Haunted Attraction in French Lick, Indiana has been voted Indiana's Most Terrifying Haunted Attraction, for the last eight years in a row. That means it has to be pretty scary, right? Now, this isn't an ordinary haunted attraction. This touch haunt will have you coming face-to-face with zombies and other scary creatures, and you have the power to hunt these zombies as if you were actually in one of those movies or TV shows.

According to the PsychoPath Haunted Attraction website:

Now with three attractions at one low price, PsychoPath Haunted Attraction is not for the weak of heart. A half mile walk through zombie shoot followed by a one mile haunted trail, and maze. (ZOMBIES DO NOT SHOOT BACK AT YOU!) Scares can begin and end in the parking lot, and waiting lines, as well in the attractions themselves. PsychoPath is in a forest with hills and obstacles.

So what do these three haunted attractions consist of? Let's dive into each one.

Zombie Shoot

This is described as a rigorous guided trail for you to hunt zombies (with paintball guns). Don't worry, the zombies won't shoot you back!

Haunted Trail

A  walk (or run) through an intensive trail in the forest filled with your worst nightmares.

Haunted Maze

As you are chased into the haunted maze, you must fight and find your way out before getting eaten alive...I don't think you'll actually get eaten, but don't get caught just in case!

KEEP READING: 40 Real Indiana Towns with Quirky, Weird, and Funny Names

Outside the major cities, the Hoosier state is full of tiny little towns you've probably passed through on your way to one of those cities. Most of them are likely 100 to 150 years old, or older, and have been around far longer than the large metropolitan areas such as Indianapolis, Fort Wayne, South Bend, and Evansville. Typically, they were started by early settlers who found their way to the state and decided to make it home. Eventually, others would join them, and a community was formed. Over time, as the surrounding areas grew, most of them were folded into those areas and governed by the nearest city or county's governing body officially making them "unincorporated," meaning they did not have their own formally organized municipal government.

A scroll through Wikipedia's long list of unincorporated communities in Indiana shows several of them have names that by today's standards would be considered weird, quirky, or just downright right funny. These are my 40 favorities.
