Hip-Hop Star Nelly Covers Thomas Rhett’s ‘Die a Happy Man’ [VIDEO]

Nelly is no stranger to working with country artists, he had a huge hit a few years ago with Tim Mcgraw, and just a couple years ago he had a couple big hits with Florida Georgia Line, now he's covering Thomas Rhett! 

First off let me start by saying, I'm a big fan of pop music, I know I apologize I'm one of "those" that embraces and really likes "pop country" I do like a lot of traditional country as well, but I'm one of those that enjoy the pop country too.  So I was so excited to see Nelly covering Thomas Rhett!

I love Thomas Rhett and would usually not enjoy hearing a cover of his song, however I think if you're going to cover a song go big or go home, anyone can do a karaoke version of a song, but it takes talent to change up the song and personalize it to yourself, while still keeping the song semi true to itself, if that makes any sense.  In Nelly's case I think this is the perfect example of a good cover, it's changed up to where it is not the original song, but it's also not a karaoke version.

I can appreciate a good cover when I hear one, and this is one of those!
