If you grew up in the Eighties, you remember the vivacious eldest brother that graced the Seaver family on the hit TV show Growing Pains. Kirk Cameron played Michael "Mike" Aaron Seaver from 1985 to 1992.

Growing Pains was a comedy but it also dealt with some tough issues that families face. But, the show did air back in the 80s/90s. If you grew up in any era prior to the early 2000s, you weren't constantly surrounded by social media and smart phones. Kids today face way more social pressure than we ever did and as parents, it can be hard to navigate the murky waters.

Since his role of Mike Seaver, Kirk Cameron has not only appeared on the big screen but has also found his calling to work in Christian ministry. This weekend, Cameron will be appearing in Newburgh, IN, in a live event called Kirk Cameron's Living Room Reset where he will focus on raising children and building marriages.

According to kirkcameron.com:

Starting in January 2018, I will be bringing the Cameron living room to churches across the country, and want you to join me for a heartfelt conversation about what matters most to us as husbands, wives, and parents. Think of it as a "home-run date night" with my wife and me. A time to get away with your spouse for 3 hours with us to laugh together, pray together, learn together, and worship together, as we dive deep into the subjects that matter most to you and me. And best of all, you'll learn how to see your family with new eyes, and be inspired about giving your family a "Living Room Reset." I will be sharing the things that have made the most valuable difference in our marriage and with our kids, and brought the most peace and blessing to our home. Chelsea will be joining me at as many of the events as she can (but can't come to them all), sharing some very personal and heartfelt messages for moms and wives. We'll be joined by well-known Christian music artists, and I'm even going to bring some throwback Growing Pains surprises as well! This night will be unlike anything I've ever done, and unlike anything you've ever attended… I promise. Come to be encouraged, inspired, equipped and refreshed.

Living Room Reset will feature Kirk Cameron and Matt Hammitt this Saturday, March 17, 2018 at 4:30 pm at First Christian Church at 4544 Old State Road 261 in Newburgh, IN. Doors at 3:45 pm. Tickets can be purchased here.
