Got Time? – Give Blood Today At ‘Donor Rama’

The Evansville chapter of the American Red Cross is hosting a 'Donor Rama' today until 6pm at the Red Cross offices located at the Lloyd and Stockwell. Did you know that every two seconds in this country, someone needs a blood transfusion? Blood is what transports oxygen and nutrients to all vital organs in the human body and blood donors can become lifesavers for those who have lost large amounts of blood for whatever reason.

 According to the Red Cross, only three out of every 100 people in America donate blood and with millions of transfusions occurring every year in this country, you can see why the need is so great. To donate blood, you must be healthy, at least 17 years of age and weigh at least 110
