To help us all get into the spooky spirit of Halloween, during the month of October, I will be sharing a Tristate Haunts and Legends story with you. These are real stories that have happened to people right here in the Tristate.
Whether you believe in ghosts or not, these stories will creep you out. WARNING: Don't read alone.
My cousin, Krissy lives in Madrid, Spain. She has traveled and lived in many beautiful places, but some of the unexplained things that happen in the house she now lives in, would make want to put it up for sale.
It seems that the ghost is fairly harmless, even health conscience, unless you want to leave with all of your belongings. According to Krissy,
I have had a couple of wacky things happen. My house in the center of Madrid was haunted by what everyone who witnessed it on many occasions either a former housekeeper or a grandmother type of figure. She was definitely a helper. She made her presence known only when I had people over and it would be all hours of the day or night. She felt like a feminine caretaker because she would open my floor to ceiling windows when we would light up a cigarette with my girlfriends over and this only happened when we would light up and not open the windows we were freaked out by it at first but later it became normal.
When I would have guests stay over she liked to take things and hide them and later put them back in what should be the proper place after my guests tore everything apart searching for what was taken. The funniest 2 examples were my friend Aldo’s earphones he tore the bed apart looked under the bed went through his bags only to find the earphones all wound up nice and tidy under the pillow he had slept on. Aunt Donna actually witnessed having her shampoo bottles gone missing tore the room apart and all bags only to find them on top and center of her suitcase she had been through and repacked. This lady did not warm up to Pedro at first and would rattle the door handle to the Salon and scratch the door. We thought it was the dog because it went on for a least a good hour. Pedro was tired of it and upset Printz was scratching at the door because he never acted like that. We opened the Salon door only to find Printz on the opposite side of the room dead asleep. We both looked at each other like WTF was that😰 It wasn’t ever really scary but you could feel the presence in the air. All of my friends knew about it and we would always exchange looks when things happened and say Thank You....it eased the tension but we all wanted to make sure we all saw it because it literally was like seeing a ghost. I never did see anything only felt energy and saw things blatantly being opened or closed.
