To help us all get into the spooky spirit of Halloween, during the month of October, I will be sharing a Tristate Haunts and Legends story with you. These are real stories that have happened to people right here in the Tristate.

Whether you believe in ghosts or not, these stories will creep you out. WARNING: Don't read alone.

A friend of mine from high school scared this scary encounter with me. It happened at the Harlan Hall, built in 1872, that today is used for special events. Whatever haunts the old opera house, den's want anybody else there. Here is Staci's story...

My friend and I were decorating for a wedding reception in a beautiful historic building that was once a Opera House in the 1800’s. I was on the balcony helping make sure our ceiling decor was centered when I saw a large gray apparition go around the top of the balcony and scurry down the back stairs. I immediately told my partner that it was time to go, we could finish in the morning. She said “you saw it too, didn’t you?” We bolted out of there!!
