To help us all get into the spooky spirit of Halloween, during the month of October, I will be sharing a Tristate Haunts and Legends story with you. These are real stories that have happened to people right here in the Tristate.

Whether you believe in ghosts or not, these stories will creep you out. WARNING: Don't read alone.

This story comes from a former student who has had some pretty weird things happen in the halls of her home. Here is her story...

My husband and I have both seen the same figure going back and forth in our hallway and hear little girl voices. Just started when we moved in this house a little over a year ago! Creepy, but doesn't seem hostile.

I have seen a cat run through the house...our cat is always outside. I put my son's toys on the table at night and early next morning they were scattered on the floor. My son was in his room all night. My little dog was barking and begging facing a corner in the kitchen for like 10 minutes straight. I woke up early one morning before anyone else and walked passed our kitchen timer that was turned over in the living room...as soon as I walked passed it, it was set to 15 minutes and started ticking! That one got me. The kitchen seems foggy sometimes.

The voices that my husband hears, still hears, I first thought it was in his head until I was laying in bed one night while he was in the bathroom. Everything was shut off for the night. I heard a female voice that sounded so close by, but right outside somehow. Just a bunch of mumbles. I honestly thought he had his phone on in the bathroom.

I don't know the history, only that it was built in 1948. Our landlord said they added our bedroom and bathroom sometime after it was built. The hallway where the old bathroom used to be is where we have seen lots of activity. There is a creepy deep well type hole in the back covered in heavy concrete slabs. Just kinda weird and different.

It got so bad at one point, I asked a medium friend to stop by. She never made it over, but we just kind of got used to it.
