Get Married At Pattis 1880’s Settlement
Get Hitched With All The Fixins
I can smell the fried chicken from here; I can hear that incredibly thick pork chop sizzling; the thought of sawdust pie is making me drool. It's a short drive to Patti's from anywhere in the Midwest, and as many of us already know, it's well worth the drive. Every year, my husband and two of our best friends go on an anniversary trip. We recently went to Pattis for this trip, as the settlement is beautiful this time of year, and most importantly, it's always perfect for romance. For $125 and for one day only, Patti's is offering quite the deal to get hitched, but you'd better hurry, there are only eight spots available. Bring your own minister, or Pattis will provide one for you. Ceremonies will begin at noon, and each will last 30 minutes. Participants will be allowed to take wedding pictures in Pattis Gardens. For more information or to book today, call 270-362-8844, email Bev@pattis-settlement.com, or you can find more information about the settlement on their website.

Don't Forget The Food!
In a town of around 350 people, Pattis serves over 350,000 guests and serves over one million dollars in pork chops each year. Let's talk about those chops, famous for being two inches thick (and perfect for leftovers). They are mouth-watering, along with several other award-winning Pattis dishes. Eclectic and massive salads, Kentucky hot browns, and beef oscar are just a few unique items their menu features. What is a fabulous dinner without an equally fantastic dessert? Fear not, Pattis overachieves in this department as well. Pies from family recipes that have been passed down for generations, with a six to eight-inch-thick meringue. My personal favorite? A coconut cake that takes days to make. Check out the pictures and try not to drool.
