Georgetown And Chinese Basketball Teams Brawl [Video]

This video captures what could be one of the ugliest incidents ever in international play. The Georgetown University Hoyas traveled to Beijing this week to play an exhibition basketball game against a Chinese professional club. The game turned violent with a little less than 10 minutes remaining in the game which broke into a benches clearing brawl with punches, thrown chairs and water bottles being tossed by spectators at the Hoyas players and coaches. The game was tied at 64 when the brawl broke out and the rest of the game was cancelled. The night before, Vice President Joe Biden was in Beijing to discuss U.S. - Chinese economic relations. The Chinese team has been involved in several instances like this with other teams recently, but this has created a true international incident that both governments have to deal with now.
