Dreams Come True at Fairy Tale Ball

Once upon a time….

Ark Crisis Child Care Center is getting ready for the 7th annual Cold Stone Creamery Fairy Tale Ball on Saturday, April 13th.

More than 500 children and adults will experience the magic of the Fairy Tale Ball at Evansville Country Club.

The lunch event (noon- 2pm) includes more than 160 children from Ark Crisis Child Care Center and their caregivers who will attend thanks to the generosity of hundreds of “Fairy Godparents” across the community who sponsored the children to provide clothing, hair and makeup styling, transportation, tickets to the event and the horse and carriage rides. The Fairy Godparent project has grown each year and includes children who live in homeless or domestic violence shelters, who live in poverty and who have been victims of abuse or neglect and others who have found a safe haven at Ark throughout the year.

The evening event (5-8pm) includes guests who will enjoy dinner, dancing, crafts, horse and carriage rides, games and much more.

Guests at both events will be able to meet their favorite fairy tale characters including, Belle & the Beast, Cinderella, Elsa & Anna, Jasmine & Aladdin, Snow White, Rey & Finn from Star Wars and many others!

The event is Ark’s largest annual special event. The money raised at the event supports Ark’s crisis care program, providing free child care to 1400 children annually at high risk for abuse and neglect when their families are in crisis.

Ark Crisis Child Care Center is the only licensed crisis care center in Indiana – serving children aged six weeks to six years. Ark provides free care for children whose families are in crisis due to medical, financial or housing needs, counseling, or abusive situations. Child care is provided free of charge to any family in need, regardless of income, race, gender or national origin. No emergency cases are ever denied services.

Become a Fairy Godparent here! :-)
