Oreos are one of my favorite snacks. Honestly, if I'm not careful, I could eat a whole sleeve in one sitting while watching TV. Personally, I like to have my Oreos with a tall glass of ice-cold 2% milk. That said, I've also been known to dip those bad boys in peanut butter or ice cream. However, there are some folks out there who have taken the Oreo-dipping game way too far. Or have they?
The History of Oreos and Mayo
Over the past few weeks, I’ve seen several videos and memes of people dipping Oreos in mayonnaise. The trend can likely be traced back to 2021, when a photoshopped image of a fake Heinz “Mayoreo” bottle hit the internet. The new condiment was said to be exactly what you’d expect—a sauce featuring flavors of both Oreo and mayonnaise. The chatter that arose was so loud that Oreo even sent PRWeek a statement explaining that Mayoreo is not a real collaboration and that there are no plans to release this product. Still, it seems folks are more than a little intrigued by the combination.

I thought long and hard about trying this combination myself. Ultimately, I decided I wasn’t that brave and sought out a legitimate video of someone actually trying mayonnaise and Oreos for real. Check out the video below:
The video, posted by @combinationking, indicated that the texture resembles Oreo cheesecake, but that the mayo aftertaste ruins the whole experience. Honestly, mad props to this guy for trying this so I nor anyone else had to. Be warned: Oreos and mayonnaise are not a good combination.
