There was a time when Darius Rucker wasn't Darius Rucker. At least that's not how he was known. He was "Hootie," the lead singer for one of the biggest and most successful bands of the early '90's, Hootie & the Blowfish. As we all know, Darius would eventually branch off into Country music where he's shed (to some extent) the Hootie shadow and enjoyed what has turned into a successful evolution of his career. While he never abandoned the Blowfish (the band has come together for charity performances, and they host a charity golf scramble every year after The Masters), it's been nearly 15 years since they hit the road for a full-blown tour. That changes in 2019 when they kick off a 44 date tour on May 30th which includes a few stops within a short driving distance of the Tri-State!

The Group Therapy Tour starts in Virginia Beach, Virginia on May 30th, 2019 and will conclude September 13th in the band's hometown of Columbia, South Carolina. The tour will make stops in Noblesville, Indiana (just outside Indy), Cincinnati, St. Louis, and Nashville on the following dates, all of which are only a two to three hour drive from Evansville:

  • July 13th - Maryland Heights, Missouri (St. Louis) - Hollywood Casino Amphitheatre
  • July 20th - Cincinnati - Riverbend Music Center
  • August 17th - Noblesville, Indiana (Indianapolis) - Ruoff Home Mortgage Music Center
  • September 7th - Nashville, Tenn. | Bridgestone Arena

Tickets for all 44 shows go on sale this Friday at 10:00 a.m. at Live Nation.com, with '90's alt-rock faves, Barenaked Ladies as the special guests.
